IFTTT part 2

So I was successful in getting my Blogger post and my Twitter feed to post to may Scott's Place Facebook page. Yea for small victories!
But the page seemed to pull a random picture, So I am posting one here to see if it gets pulled over instead. Cross your fingers.

New Year's Resolution

A bit early to talk about resolutions, but I already have one. Write on my blog more than I have this semester. I am setting a goal of once a week. Hopefully, I can do that.

Most of the resources I have been sharing have been on my Twitter feeds. Please feel free to follow me at either location or both.

30 Day Twitter Challenge for Teachers

Came across this site as I have been researching Twitter for the classroom. Great looking program to help teachers learn how, when, and why to use Twitter in the classroom.

Eric has broken down 30 Twitter lessons into short video clips. Perfect for anytime/anywhere learning.

Facebook and Twitter

I currently work for Lubbock ISD as a Technology Deployments Specialist, a division of our Technology Support department. Recently, my coordinator and I decided to start a Facebook and Twitter account for the benefit of our LISD staff members. These are public pages so really anyone can join, but some of the posts may not apply to everyone outside of LISD. We do post quite a bit on Google and iOS so maybe that will draw you in. Check us out.

Telling your Story Keynote

Recently, TCEA hosted an online keynote from Steve Dembo. In the presentation he talked about storytelling and the fact that many campuses tell announcements, but not their story. If you have an hour and a half, I encourage you to listen to his presentation ideas to tell your campus story and the good Q&A session at the end. (Skip ahead about 16 minutes to get to Steve's presentation.)

Twitter for School Communication

https://g.twimg.com/Twitter_logo_blue.png
Twitter has really taken off for all sorts of uses in education. Teachers are using it as a form of PD, PLCs keep up with each other, and Administrators are using it as a way to communicate to parents and students.
A great article from
